Daniel Tejeda

–Singer & Frontman–

Born and raised in Mexico City, Daniel started to sing and do theatre at an early age. When he turned 20, he moved to Austria to study Musical Theatre and got his BA on 2016 from the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien, aka The Conservatory of the City of Vienna.

He's been writing music for 10 years and released his first solo album "Romance Sonámbulo" in 2018, which compromises 10 songs in different music styles and sung in german, english and spanish.

One of his greatest passions is to sing Mariachi Music and he's been dreaming to combine this traditional mexican folk music with rock, so that he would finally be able to show his truly potential as a singer, performer, composer and an all-round artist. This dream comes true with "Mariachi Bastards".

Daniel writes most of the songs for the band in spanish, english and german. Through his love for the german language, he hopes to show the world that german can also be the language of rock.

In 2015 I recorded and released my first Solo-Ep by the name HauNow, with lyrics and vocals performed by myself.

In 2017 I got my first golden record for playing guitars on the album of german pop artist Namika.

Paul B Keeves

–Bass–

Englishman Paul moved to Berlin shortly after graduating from Birmingham Conservatoire, where he studied bass and electric guitar. Since then he has been a very busy bee, participating in countless musical projects and bands. From big musical productions in Germany like  "We Will Rock You", "Mamma Mia!"  and "Cats"; to bands and recording sessions with artists like Jens Lekman, Ina Forsman, PRAG, Trailhead, Birddogs; Paul always lays down a sweet, juicy and sometimes spicy bottom end.

Here in Mariachi Bastards we're quite looking forward specially to the spicy side of his strings ;)

Mario García

–Drums–

Borned and raised in Mexico, Mario has been hitting the drum kit for 14 years. He played in Mexico and on tour with bands from completely different musical backgrounds like the blues band "Topik Blues" (2007-11), a progressive-rock band called "Ustedes" (2009-2017), a reggae band named "Pachedub Collective" (2011-16) and did a CD Production with the artist "Sophie Laphie" (2013-14).

From 2017 to 2019 he played drums & percussions for the project "La causa maldita" where he collaborated with the artist Regina Sáenz. In 2019 he moved to Berlin, where we luckily found him ready to rock our project!

Hendrik Bockholt

 –Keyboards–

Hendrik Bockholt –the nordic cheerful soul of the band– comes from Kiel and started to play the piano at the age of 7. At 14 keyboards, church organ and synthesiser came along as well. Whether accompanying singers or as keyboarder in bands, musicals or other projects, the connection to music has always been present.

The Musicology university studies through to his Master of Arts in Kiel, were a very important part of his musical career development.

From 2017 to 2020 Hendrik was on board of the Mein Schiff fleet as a Musical Leader and Musical Manager, which allowed him to supervise and bring to the stage several musical projects and build a big network of international artists.

Now he is the key magician at Mariachi Bastards and plays from Rhodes to Hammond and everything else that has keys on it!
